A tailor-made programme covering music and DJ’ing to hairdressing and fashion, the PLAN-IT IDEAS is for young people aged 16-30 years old and offers a rich and dynamic approach to enterprise and creative business practices that enables participants to develop their business skills and knowledge.

Through partnership-working and a multi-faceted approach to teaching and mentoring, the programme provides young people with an exciting opportunity to develop personal and social skills with a group environment.

Through the course young people increase their self-esteem and expand the boundaries of their imagination as to what they can achieve. The young people also:

• Increase their awareness of business and enterprise
• Support and challenge enterprising aspirations and ambitions
• Build team-working and communication skills
• Develop self-esteem, self confidence and presentation skills
• Explore pathways into further and higher education, self-employment and employment
• Receive a broad range of skills and theory related to enterprise
• Develop I.T. Skills
• Showcase self-generated enterprise as a valid route to employment
• Receive supportive inspiration through trainers and role models
• Signposted clients to relevant next steps

All young people attending the programme receive a National Certificate in Further Education (NCFE) qualification from levels 1 to 2 and also complete an enterprise rehearsal where they manage a budget and develop a branded product or brand concept.
