After months of intense planning and hard work Culture Snap have officially launched their guided cultural tours of south east London. A press conference attended by the local media was held at the Albany in Deptford to provide information on the company, the tours and to outline their future plans.

A great deal of interest in exploring working together in the future was shown by the office of Lewisham Young Mayor among others.

Tours are available from the 5th of July, with booking readily available, so make sure to come and discover Deptford with Culture Snap!

NEW COURSES BEGIN

Head for Business

Our new series of courses aimed at those thinking about starting a business and those already in business but in need of support are underway. If you are not sure about what it takes to start your own business or the skills required and want to explore this is in a fun and interactive way, then our ‘Is Enterprise for Me’ course is a great place to start.

For those of you a bit further ahead or already in business but needing to sharpen some of your skills, our Business Skills workshop re-creates the world of small business in the training room where you learn by doing.

6 young people, working as Marketing Co-ordinators under the guidance of Head for Business have branded themselves Wakeup! An exciting and dynamic new Social Enterprise looking to bridge the Gap between young people and local resources, services and opportunities available to them within the borough.

Making use of the team members varied expertise and wide range of experience, WakeUp! Will be waking you from your slumber very soon!

CREATIVE CRAFTS LOOK TOWARDS SHOWCASE

The ten young designer makers sharing studio space within Cockpit Arts are heading towards their final showcase where they will exhibit their designs to buyers, the press, industry stakeholders and members of the public in what has already been an exciting ten months.

During this time they have already grabbed their share of the spotlight, by participating in Cockpits Arts Open Studios and when Munira Mirza, London Mayor, Boris Johnson’s Director for Policy for Arts, Culture and Creative Industries visited them to launch the GLA’s 2012 Cultural Skills Fund.
